poor mpg

Since my turbo on my 1.9 dci blew last december my mpg has struggled to get over 40, where it was between 50 and 55 before. I had the turbo replaced like for like at a local respectible garage. Re: insurance

shop around is the best advice, dont just try the comparison websites because you cant be bothered. for me, (24 male, 4 years ncb, 6 points from 3.5 years ago) admiral, bell and elephant (all the same company) were miles cheaper than anyone else.

Re: Mazda RX8 repairs!

id be very unhappy if such a new car needed a starter, coil and leads. My missus has a 06 231 rx8 and i love driving it. My boss also has one, he had a incident in the snow last month, for a new headlight they wanted 500quid, the light PLASTIC square headlight washer was 80quid and the washer itself...

Re: startup squeal until car warm

is the noise constant or does it get louder/higher pitched when you increase the revs? I thought squeel like that was always due to a stretched/ over tightened aux belt.

Re: WHICH BRAKE DISC ARE BETTER

neither, just get flat disks. unless you are using them on track the disks will not get hot enough to warrent groves. never buy drilled because the will crack and become very dangerous

Re: Mileage Expectations

id consider chopping it in, once it gets to 100,000 miles things do start going wrong. Yes diesel engines traditionally go on well over that the engine is not the only part of the car. The suspension, electrics, steering etc is all french crap.

Re: does my 225 need a new turbo

reno will happily charge you 1500 for a turbo and another 1000 to fit it. I got the turbo on mine done from 700 at a local garage. I be highly suprised if a decent garage cant massively undercut the dealers.
