In my opinion stick with std air filter, any gain would be tiny and not worth the extra cash.
You can buy rear discs and pads with the built in bearings and ABS rings for £60 online. Get your local garage/MOT place to fit them, £40.

Re: passanger side rear light cluster
A '55' plate (Dec 2005) is a Megane II, phase I. As such the light cluster should look like this:- http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/RENAULT-MEGANE-II-PASSENGER-SIDE-N-S-REAR-TAIL-LIGHT-2002-06-/321939075589?fits=Model%3AMegane&hash=item4af5107205:g:H0IAAOSwCQNWdcfe with the lenses oriented vertically (...

They're the same as far as I'm aware. Unless the 3 door is a 225 or R26.

Re: towbar
As the facelift changes were only cosmetic I'm fairly sure they would fit. eg 3/5 door would fit a later 3/5 door saloon would fit a later saloon Estate would fit a later estate :) http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Towbar-for-Renault-Megane-2-II-Hatchback-3-5-Door-2002-2008-Flange-Tow-Bar-/290622785159?fits...

Megane 16 inch alloys were fitted with 205/55/16 tyres as standard. These were also the factory upgrade option from 15inch steel wheels.

Re: Megane mk2 1.5 dCi tyres
performance (traction) etc be between 195/65 R15 H or 205/55 R16 H 195 or 205 is the width of the tyre in mm so a 205 has more rubber in contact with road. 65 or 55 is the height of the sidewall as a % of the width. The sidewall height is a trade off between comfort and handling. Taller for comfort...

Re: Electric Fault - Rear Right Light + Other Problems
I suggest buying a different version of the remix module off eBay Alternatively you could get the original module repaired. Many members, including myself, have used this bloke... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/RENAULT-MEGANE-SCENIC-CC-COUPE-WINDOW-TEMIC-MOTOR-MODULE-REPAIR-/252101650380?hash=item3ab26d...

Re: Timing belt
Use a good independent garage, not main dealer. Get the aux belt and water pump changed at the same time. Approx. £300.
