you dont need to remove the boot lining at all there are two thumb screws behind the light just unscrew them and the whole light unit will come off and change the bulb

Takie it back to Renault, its a common problem and they pay 73% of the cost to fix it, they have to change a wiring loom too and its a big job

Re: Roof mechanism fault
This does sound like the switches, this would be the cheapest option to start with and the cc's switches can be a bit tempremental. I am surprised the convertile expert did not check them tho.
Re: sat nav
No the phase 1 or 2 CC's never had built in sat navs. You can get an after market one that replaces the clock and looks built in

Re: Dash LED change
Hi i am more interested how you managed to get the clock sorted.
When i changed the leds n the clock to all blue and put in a blue filter you could not see the numbers, i had to put the orange filter back in and now i have a blue background with orange numbers.

Re: Steering Lock on fault - take care or it can be expensiv
I had the same problem, my lock stayed on and would not come off what so ever. The bolt is actually designed so that it can not be removed from the lock while it is locked which is why the dealers are saying to replace the whole steering column. The steering locked can not be used on another vehicle...

Re: Climate control conversion????
the short answer is no not a chance.
there is much more involved than just changing the dials, there are sensors and all sorts that are needed for the climate control version and its basicly not worth it, probably cheaper to go out and buy a car with it.
