Re: Au revoir '53 plate 1.6VVT Dynamique...
I owned the Megane from new, did just under 60K miles, fully serviced. I have spent many hundreds on new front suspension components (and am on my 3rd steering rack - which needs replacing) - and was still not satisfied with the suspension when I let it go. It needed a new driver window regulator - ...

Au revoir '53 plate 1.6VVT Dynamique...
...you have caused me too much financial stress. Enter stage right, a Vauxhall Astra GTC turbo, with 170 horses and a lifetime manufacturer's warranty. (The most recent electrical issues - and a £2k trade-in valuation from Vauxhall - were too much temptation, not to rid myself of the Meggy...) Au re...

Elec window / wiper wash / stereo - linked problems?
Hi, Strange behaviour over the last couple of days on my '53 plate Megane... First, the front driver's side electric window's stopped working. It was closed, and wouldn't open/go down. I did the reset thing, then it went down/up no problem. When I next used the car, same problem again, only this tim...

Re: 2003 Megane suspension coil - fitted upside down?
I went to Renault UK with my issue - 2 Renault garages disputing whether a coil can be fitted incorrectly or not. Renault UK agreed with my second garage that a coil can be fitted upside down. Because the first garage is now no longer a Renault service centre, Renault UK gave me the cost of the seco...

Re: Card and Reader.
On placing my card into the slot and pressing the start button the words card not detected appear on the dash. I have also tried my spare card and the problem is still there. After 2 or 3 attempts the card then recognises and the car fires up. Can any of u Megane guru's help me as i don't want 2 ge...

Re: Knock from OSF when going over bumps?
I have the same 'knock' / 'clunk' when going over small bumps (and I cringe when going over rough ground!). However, when the car was stationary with the hand-brake on, I was able to rock the NSF wheel back/forwards by about an inch to two inches, almost like it was somehow loose in the way it was ...

Re: Heater Resistor Location
@Covkid
Did you sort this?
I had a ridiculous quote from Renault (£250+) to replace my resistor - fan speed 4 does not work.
I have found the part on eBay for £60, so would like to fit it myself...

Re: How to: Replace the 'throttle style' internal handbrake
Well, my repaired handbrake button finally failed for good, locking my handbrake 'on', and in rush hour traffic in the centre of town, too! I've found a new part for £140 on eBay, and using this guide will replace it myself. The car's 8yrs old, so I can just about tolerate paying that kind of...

2003 Megane suspension coil - fitted upside down?
I'll skip a very long story. My garage today stripped down and rebuilt my front o/s suspension. They said that my (previous) other garage had fitted the coil spring upside down. Is this possible? (I though they were symmetrical..?) Any ideas? I want to claim today's garage bill off my previous garag...
