Renault Megane 1.4 1999, I have to treat my front headlight covers to pass my MOT, they are a bit ' beige ' and not letting out enough light, have tried Bicarbonate of soda, but with little effect, would appreciate any ideas,

My son removed the matting from the side of the boot which would reveal the cover ' motor ', We checked the horizontal pin by working it in and out, the cover unlocked, all good but a second check for relocking by ' electrics ' failed so we left it open, all good ,

Followed all the advice given here ---- many thanks , petrol cover now released so will be buying a lockable petrol cap,

Thanks Granddaddy , At whits end, with jammed hand brake, ran engine, pumped brakes ---- got so fed up -- I stamped on the brake pedal
--- that did it ! Hand break released ! suggestion --- loose your temper !

Renault Megane, 1999, 1.4 RT V6 Hand brake is jammed on full hold, cannot move button at all, any help appreciated,

I own a Megane RT V6 , which is now 16yrs old --- are there any other veterans out there ?

Cannot open cover at all,
