Re: check injection light

Sounds like it might be glow plugs. Restart the car when its warmed up and see if the message still comes on, if not then you probably need a glow plug or two changing.

Sticking Handbrake

Hi all,

I've noticed that if there is heavy rain overnight my handbrake sometimes sticks slightly when I drive off in the morning. It makes a bit of a noise when the handbrake is released. Has anyone else experienced this or know what causes it.

Thanks in advance.

BIO Diesel

Does anyone fil up with BIO diesel? I'm thinking of giving it a try as there's a few places I can get it from up here but want to know if anyone else has had any negatives about it first. I'd be making a saving of 30p a litre.

Re: REDEX

Just a quick update, travelled over 600 miles on a long journey with some redex in. Could'nt really tell if their was any difference in the performance of the car. MPG might have been a little lower though. Only got an average of 48mpg but I wasn't taking it easy and had the roof box on the car. Pro...

Re: REDEX

Cheers guys, I'm going on a long motorway run this weekend so I'll put some in when I fill up. I'll let you know if I notice any changes. Like I said I've not bought it for this car and it seems to be running fine but found it in the garage.

REDEX

Hi Not exactly a problem but I was wondering if anyone has put REDEX or other fuel/injector cleaner into their megane? It's just that I've found some in the garage which I used to use in a Peugeot I had. I was going to throw it in the tank but thought I'd ask if anyone has any bad experiences from i...

Re: Steering CLUNK - help

It could be a broken spring. (quite common, like a lot of things with theses cars) It happened to me a couple of weeks ago but it was more of a twanging sound although I initially described it as a clunking sound. If it is a spring it's not a big job.

Re: new owner and got probs

I think you'll find its a common problem regarding squeaky brakes. Mine also squeak when i press the brake slightly but I've sort of got used to it. I'll mention it when its in for a serice later in the year.

Re: Car won't start from clutch!!!

I think I'll just get it repaired !! I'd do it myself but the wire has snapped from right inside the connector.

Re: Car won't start from clutch!!!

Found out the problem. The wire has come away from the connector on the pedal. Looks like a DIY job to be honest but I might take it to the garage.

Car won't start from clutch!!!

Hi After getting the broken spring replaced last week I have tried to start the car today and it wont start with the clutch depressed. It starts fine with the brake depressed though. (If I keep getting little problems like this then it's going, only had it 3 months). Anyway, has anyone any ideas wha...

Re: Steering Clunking

Car went in today at 8.30am tp PGC Renault, Rochdale. Called me at 9.30 to say that the spring has snapped but they won't have the part until tomorrow. I have a used car warranty with it and they have sorted all this out with the warranty company so it's all covered, phew! Should be ready tomorrow, ...

Re: Steering Clunking

Thanks,
It is more of a twang to be honest so I'm hoping its not going to be a big job and the twang is definately coming from he springs when you put over half a turn on the wheel.

Steering Clunking

I've got a clunking noise coming from it seems the suspension springs when I turn the steering wheel about half a turn. The noise is quite loud and happens both when driving round corners and if you turn the wheel when the car isnt moving. Its booked into the stealers for next Tuesday 3rd June but c...
