Re: 1.5dci megane trouble starting when cold and white smoke
Two of the main things that cause white smoke (apart from hg of course) is low fuel pressure & low compressions. Diesel engines need to see at good rpm reading at cold to eliminate hard cold starting which should be in the region of 450 rpm. To my way of thinking it would be shear folly to put b...

Re: Renault Megane II stalling at junctions/traffic lights
If your megane idles ok whilst sitting stationary. But only plays up when slowing down at junctions/traffic lights then I would certainly be checking out the status of the brake switch. The very most likely cause of your problem.Hth Regards fredcamp2

Re: Throttle increases when idle & fluctuates when driving.
The problem your encountering with your megane is much more than likely a wiring problem interference from another circuit a very common problem on these is the wiring at the metal cage on ecu gets chaffed & certainly causes the over revving. This has to be checked out starting at the 6 terminal...

If the brake pedal is depressed while the accelerator at a constant position the engine speed will drop to idle thus a faulty or incorrectly adjusted brake pedal switch results in a running p...
