Re: best HIDs?
Wouldn't bother. Chances are you will be pulled up on not for them same with after market LESs the light patterns are wrong so they fail on the headlamp section plus with hids you are supose to have headlamp washers fitted and working if not it's a fail. They are getting quite strict on them now. Do...

Re: How to remove the letters megane
You should get hold of a scenic badge ditch all the letters bar the 2 C,s and stick them under the diamond of doom badge so instead of reading MEGANE it will read simply CC.
Looks rather good.

Re: heater
Generally this will be fan motor Resistor stops fan working on all but full speed when power is straight through. Unless it has burnt wires somewhat common in the mk2 I believe it was something to do with the earth wire. If previous owner has been in there clearly they have not fixed it. So to me if...

Re: MK3 cc boot lid
Hi Seano The silver trims you are looking at at the window seal trims i think the check strap is the black or silver flat rod inbetween the door hinges it controls how far the door opens and when it goes you will know about it every time you open and close the door it makes a good awful cracking sou...

Re: Meg II CC Ownership Costs
Probably right about egr, I found my mk2 easy to clog up and a good low geared blast produced quite a black cloud the mk2 was also quite renowned for turbo lag, I had my mk2 mapped and it took a bit of lag out but still a massive pain. The mk3 hasn't got that "I'm not going" feel it's away...

Re: Meg II CC Ownership Costs
Well the differance!!!!!! Same engine as my mk2 1.9dci Plus! Its pick up is a lot quicker, pulls out of junctions much faster. Better hand brake the airplane throttle type changed to a normal one. Bulbs on front end easy to change no bumper removal Better side window to roof seals instead of the mk2...

Re: Meg II CC Ownership Costs
3 good tips after owning my mk2 for 7 years and 150k 1) turn off auto headlamps my blew quite a few headlamp bulbs until I did this.view 2) purchase some krytox from your nearest VW dealer, this is the lube they use for the eos, cost you about £32 for a small bottle but well worth it.... It lubes an...

Re: Front Wing
Don't think front end bodywork is different at all i think they share the same wings, bonnet and bumpers with the rest of the Megan e range. Lots of owners of CC out me g RS front bumpers on as they fit but the rears won't . Dash clocks, mirrors, gear lever, steer wheel, hand brake, glove box raduo/...

Re: Rear window Temic issues
Sorry that's a new one on me, did it work? I would rather doubt it you don't even have to reset the rear windows off the button like you do with the fronts so can't see holding a button up will do anything for the rears. Plus if this was so, the repair services would not ask which side it is (not th...

I had this from an ebay repair service.
I mounted my motor on the other side of the regulator, so it pulled in the right direction looked a bit odd but it went in ok and worked perfectly...

Re: Megane mk3 2009 mpg issues
Anything electrical you run will alter mpg lights, heated screen and heater blower being the worst, if you have altered you AC settings you will more than likely find that's the issue. AC is a big sap on mpg. If it has been like this since service did they adjust your hand brake of so could be bindi...

:-( OMG 4 hours to clean up, new pads and lube rear calipers and replace front discs and pads..... None of the wheels would come off, had to belt them with a rubber malet for about 15 mins per corner so that kind of set the mood for the job, but rear calipers came off ok but the pads wouldn't move h...

Re: Ball Joint Size
My last c c was an 04 and that was 18mm however it was a 1.9 diesel, I seem to remember being told the 16mm joints where the very early ones, I think I measured the exposed threads on the ball joint, it shouldn't be hard to determine the correct size 2mm is quite a jump.just make sure you return unj...

Re: What are they worth???
Gold dust!!!!! You want to try a mk3 cc you've a better chance finding unicorn teeth than parts for this thing. When you do find some are they expensive..... Most recent endeavour simply a check strap, well Renault £72 with the vat!!!!!! What I could understand for your mk2 as it came with the botto...
