Re: Leaking roof ?

Mine leaks, I think most do to be honest, if not now definatly later. rear quater lites leak for me I get a few runs down the inside of the window, I think it is coming from where the roof brakes behind the main glass overhead section, or perhaps the crappy little slots the rear windows close into, ...

Driven any other convertables

Driven any other convertables: like the EOS, Beetle, Twin Top, 207/307cc etc. if so what do you think? I have just spent 2 weeks in an Opel Astra Twin top 1.6 petrol driven in Croatia [Hire Car] driven from Dubrovnik to the Peljesac Penisular then on to Split and back. How did it compare? 1.6 why? I...

Re: Opening roof while doing 20mph

Don't think I would want to, to be honest, that is an awful lot of weight to be pushed against with a 20mph wind, the hindge mecanism is not that substantial to withstand that kind of presure. mine takes about 26 seconds or so to drop and raise, so it is no hardship to pull over those few seconds. I...

Re: PIMPED!!!!

supose my main worry would be putting me suitcase on the luggage rack, closing the roof and my suitcase falling off and being left on the road! Strangly I keep going back for another look, It facinates me why someone would do that, he even seems to have strange little lamps like running lights ontop...

Re: Speed Awareness Course?

Hi there, No it was Bangor end I was caught, but there are many signs like this in N. Wales. Good for revenue! more than safety. They where not to bad to be honest, did not treat us as CHILD KILLERS and need stringing up, I think it is more to do with reality of the offenses present there and ages, ...

Speed Awareness Course?

Just had the pleasure of one, not quite sure what to make of it to be honest, + side; it saved my licence from 3 points, - side; waste of 3 hours. Why I hear you ask is it a waste. Well! These courses are supose to address your awareness of your speed and why you speed to enable you to control that ...

Re: Just a few problems

I think most convertables especially of the hard roof design leak, we sell VW and the Eos is awful and apparantly the Focus is even worse it pours in. Mine leaks from driver rear window up at the top somewhere, I have tried adjusting this window but it still runs down the inside when it rains, not m...

Re: SHOCKS - Do you get em?

I might have stopped it, simply by touching the bodywork before I get out, what I do now is open the door then put my hand on the inner door frame down by the seatbelt just where the body starts to curve towards the cill, it seems to stay clean there so you don't get mucky hands then get out letting...

Re: Driver door adjustment & doors locking

wonder is it like my driver door? shuts ok looks in line at hindge end, but just before it hits the catch it is about 3 or 4 mm low, so the catch must lift it so it shuts but is still about 2 mm low when shut, there is no play in the door when it is open so the hindges must be ok, I might wedge a bl...

"cambelt change twice" Why so many, aren't all Renaults 5yr/72k? 1999 car year to date 2009 , however the 1st belt was changed when we purchased car 5 years ago at around 7k, sensible thing to do if it has not belt change history at least you know you are starting afresh, 2nd belt change d...
