Re: Immobiliser fault? This Meggy is heading for the scrappy!

My megane is 2008... In the past when removing fuses from glove compartment I discovered one particular one once removed allowed me to start and run my car from the start button without using the key card... with your problems I would use this as a fix.. lets just say I decided to prevent th...

Re: timing, is it worth saving?

next time you remove seals drill them and put a screw in to pull on or bang a screwdriver in and wedge it out if you feel confident.. unfortunately there is definitely a knack to fitting new ones as it is easy to trap the lip where you cant see it or it might not sit right on the wear marks from the...

Re: Possible turbo/brake fault after head gasket change

sounds like you have a leak in the pressurised inlet side from the turbo...

and sounds like your vacuum pump or piping to supply the brake servo is not working..

have you coupled everything up ?

Re: Am I missing something

surely you can remove the cam pulley and look for the key to see if everything is lined up correctly on the camshaft..

with the crank bolted correctly it has to be a problem with the cam pulley.

Re: Am I missing something

not sure what Renault use but with the bolt put in on the bottom half the engine you know that is fine..

problem must be with the camshaft and again not sure of Renault set up but I would check the pulley hasn't slipped on the shaft ..

Re: Replacement of fusebox connector pin recepticle

The wiring Renault use is very clever in places.. Take the simple seat belt warning light and buzzer, you cant just clip the wire to stop it as it has a simple fail safe to make sure an open circuit still leaves the buzzer on. the only way to defeat it is to bridge the switch contacts with a bit of ...

Re: WIRING PROBLEMS - POSSIBLE ADVICE?

Having attacked most of my wiring for many mods.. I was kind of impressed by how good well laid out and clipped up everything was... And I m really curious as to how water can get in behind the battery to a junction box... ( although I do notice the front bonnet rubber seal has been cut 8 inches sho...

Re: Boost gauge install

if you really must...

you can run wires/vacuum pipe behind the bonnet hinge behind the removable plastic windscreen trim on down through the wing and behind the door rubber into the dashboard once the dash end cover is removed...

Re: WHAT RELAY IS FOR LIGHTS and where to find it.

I found 2 relays clipped to the left hand side of the heater motor you get access to by removing the passenger storage unit ....

Not sure what they were for but at the time thought they might be for the lights ...

Had to remove them and broke the stupid thing they clip on with so be warned !

Re: Megane 1.5 DCi 2003 Injection fault.

Re: Megane 1.5 DCi 2003 Injection fault.

time and time again I read of this fault and want to buy every car with it and knock it back out running perfect for a £9 spend/fix .... simply order one of these, remove and fit it where the priming bulb is and wire it in parallel with the diesel cut off valve on the injector pump.... from absolute...

cure for some engine noise.

I have always thought my megane was a little too loud from the engine when under acceleration and above a year into ownership I finally realised why and it probably affects a lot of megane owners.... I would hazard a guess mechanics/ mot testers have to put their hands on something when leaning to s...
