Heated seat swtich

Does anyone have a photo of the heated seat switch and where it is? I'm retro fitting some heated seats and would like to look it as close to stock as possible. Already searched the forum for an image and done a google image search but the location of this switch remains a mystery. From what i can f...

Re: Ouch - £300+ for Window Regulator

Whilst driving down the M5 on Sunday my drivers door glass fell into the door. Normally I would investigate before taking the car to the garage but it was raining non stop and I just needed it fixing. So I put a bin liner over the window for the night and took it to a garage at 8AM on Monday mornin...

Re: how to make a stainless exhaust (im a welder)...

What he refiaring to as 'reek' is the extra black smoke that would come out of a D.E.R.V.under acceleration when running with a Decat. It will also sound like a tractor with a the similar set up to mine. It's only really worth the effort on a performance engine, coupled with a engine map that takes...

Thats correct, motorway miles means the engine will be at a high temp for a longer time giving it more chance to incinerate the particles. I know on some cars the DPF actually has a fuel burner in to incinerate the particles to stop it clogging

Re: Cheapo Double Din Nav Install (with pics)

I Had mine running tomtom for like 5 minutes and it was awful. I ended up putting Igo Primo on it which i found excellent. I found IGO 8 frustrating because you cant use the full postcode for navigation. IMO its not worth wasting your time with tomtom. If you can access WIndows CE on it then your wor...

Re: 1.9 dci common faults

From my experience of the 1.9 model I've had a fault with the DPF (if your looking at a DPF version DONT purchase it unless your going to be doing a lot of motorway miles) door wiring loom (Not specific to the 1.9 model) and the EGR valve. There is also something about turbo issues on here but touch...

Re: pics of the beast so far! (September Update)

A DPF is a diesel particulate filter. Renault also refer to it as an FAP. It collects the partials from the exhaust and has this to meet the euro E4 emissions. The partials collected are incinerated by high temperatures from the engine or by pumping fuel in to the filter. If the partials are not inc...

Re: Lost in the countryside

Never been able to fathom how people manage to get their sat navs so wrong. I do a considerable amont of mileage following them and have never ended up down a lane like that - Mores the pitty; in the Range Rover it would have been fun! You would be surprised like. I've been delivering pizzas for th...

Re: DPF Removal & Remap Results

No not really. I think I had an unrealistic expectation to be fair. I was expecting it to drive like it had a second turbo or a super charger strapped on to it lol Its deficiently alot quicker then the 130 brake it was as standard. Little while back I got in a race with a mini cooper S and my car wa...
