Hey all,
Picked up a Renault Megane II 1.6 VVT Dynamique 5dr for £680 with 103,000 miles on the clock. Couldn't resist it; they sure don't look 14 years old! My first car, at 20, but keen to keep myself busy getting it somewhat factory fresh again.
Seems to have had bit of a rough ride with its previous owner of 6 months, who managed to get 12 tickets on it! Engine seems to have been almost rebuilt over the years, but there's various cosmetic and electric issues (including the heavy boot being held up with a chunk of wood at the moment). Plus, a week in, looks like a pencil coil is starting to fail - bit of juddering on low idle, but looking to get it repaired soon (thanks to that common issues sticky).
Running it on a tight budget, and clocking up the miles even more... I'm sure I'll be here back and forth when I find myself at the side of the road (hopefully not too often!) The things you do for the things you love...
