i found it on ebay a company called icebox auto , https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/281055784640? ... 1423.l2649 but phoned them up and spoke to a guy called Rob, very helpful and if i bought from the shop i could save 8% on the ebay price , i paid £331.20 including shipping,

i am very happy with the first impression of the units and build quality and if it looks half as good fitted as it does on my kitchen table i will be well pleased :D , the instruction book is not very informative on the install procedure or some of the features, but it should be straight forward to install and connect up as all the plugs are different so only fit one way , more photos later on of the fitting

i have managed to fit this to the car , instruction were useless and i did a dry run first , i the wired it all together in the car before fitting to make sure it all worked the fitted and had a play :D

its pretty straight forward to install as all the wiring blocks are different, and the screen display that's already fitted is move to under the radio which then displays the time ,temp what station your playing (no rds on this display) or what function on the head unit you are using , the match of the plastic colour and fit is good but the only thing you have to do is use the old clips of the display surround and fit to the new surround

i removed the glove box and drilled a hole in it so i could pass the usb ,3g/wifi and ipod lead in to it i did not have to run the mic lead as i had a parrot bluethoth fitted and just used that lead , the gps Ariel is sited in front of the display by just passing the wires threw the demister vent
when all fitted i added a wifi dongle and tethered the unit to my phone so i can use the internet
the only thing i have left to do is remove the head unit and fix the mounting bolt on the back as it sag a little and protrudes and is not flush oh and work out how to use igo after using tomtom for many many years

how did you get the top screen and vent off without taking the dash and air vents out?, just pull them out

overall looks brilliant though, why oh why didnt renault do this from the factory

the screen and vent are screwed together and just pull out , i gave the top of the screen plastic a push up with the palm of my hand and the rear of the vent is is just located by tabs see photo of underside of display.

i have had the head unit back out and fitted the rear support bit ,it now sits flush with the surround :D

That looks superb pal, nice bit of kit and very nicely done :tu

Same place as the satnav was in my Subaru Foresters which is great as you don't really take your eyes off the road as opposed to my current Octavia vRS where it's down in front of the gear stick.

the steering wheel control was plugged in to the wiring that was supplied , and works vol up and down ,mute, channel search, band change , and it also changes the head unit from radio to sat nav etc , i have now put igo primo 2.4 nav software and latest map on it and its a lot better, the only thing i can not do is load my phone book to it , but that my be my htc's problem,
overall i am very pleased with it :D

little update ,

after playing with this now for a couple of days i am really pleased with it , my htc phone connects to the wifi side and gives live traffic updates on igo primo that i have installed , this nav software is good but takes some getting used to after using tomtom for 7 years plus,

the radio side is as good as the factory installed radio but the rds text could have been a bit larger, the bluetooth connects every time but will not sync phone book or auto answer ( possibly a firm ware update would do this) steering wheel controlls work for volume up and down , mute , change from nav to radio, dvd etc , search channel .

i have ordered some anti glare screen savers as the back of the rear view mirror reflects in to the screen and when i have the roof down i get a lot of glare

not played yet with the dvd or ipod connections yet
