mpg low

right had my 55 megane 1.6 petrol for around 3 months now, and seems to be eating petrol, ever since I have had it seem to be getting around 26-27 mpg on the trip hardly get anything over that, is this right or could there be something wrong?

I believe official figures are only 40mpg so you're likely not going to got more than 35mpg in most situations. Try taking it on a good run and see what happens (but reset the meter). Also maybe try driving differently round town to see if it comes up, but I'd say it was relatively normal. If there's any issues after that you could look to see if there's any visible fuel leaks.
