Timing belt
Hi all, after completely losing my timing i have now got everything back in sync but for the life of me i can not get the belt back on, is there a certain way to do this? Even tried putting the old belt back on just to see if it's any easier but not at all. Obviously adjusted the tensioner but hardly seems to move therefore not making much difference. Any idea's welcome. Oh it's a 55 plate 2.0 16v. Thanks in advance..

Re: Timing belt
Perseverance and really strong fingers!
Try hanging it on the edge of pulleys then slowly, tooth by tooth pushing on with a piece of dowel or screwdriver. Dowel probably best so as not to damage anything.
