Air lock

Hi everyone. My car has been troublesome for sometime now.
1. When you start it the idling starts normally then 2sec later idling rev drops to around 750rpm 2sec or will go back to normal 900rpm, the engine will shake so much due to lower rev that at times it will switch off.

2. When you press on the accelerator much you feel it the car cutting out 2 or 3times but it still moves.

Question : Could the bubbles in the fuel line be the cause?

I changed the diesel filter four months ago but even before then problem 1 was still there. Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks

Hi,
with an actual airlock, diesels usually don't start or just cut out.
sounds like it could be anything. You need to check for any fault codes first.
lf there are none, then it probably would be fuel related. Otherwise, you are stabbing in the dark.

Hi again,
just noticed you say sometimes cut out. When you read the fault codes, it has probably recorded low fuel pressure.
Clear all the codes, then run engine for a few minutes without it cutting out, then read codes again. This will give what is wrong now.
