Unoccupied hose connector.

Hi. I've found this unoccupied small hose connection on the right hand side of engine after oil filling unit and before thermostat housing; but can't find any loose hose that would want to fit there. Does anyone know what is for ? Thanks

if you give model and fuel and year plus if possible a picture, l'm sure someone will have an explanation.
