2001 Renault megane 1.6 16v

Hi everyone

I have the above car and the battery was knackered, I bought a battery and put it wrong way i I didn't actually connect it but the wires touched the terminals. stupid i know but i was rushing to get to hospital my my mum is really ill with the big c. anyway now it just won't start I've checked all the fuses and one interior I found was blown. I replaced that but still no joy. can anyone help I'm desperate, I can't hear the fuel pump wondered if it's that or immobilisor. I noticed the immobiliser light wasn't flashing when I removed the key so just double checked the fuses were all in properly and now it's flashing but still won't start

Hi,
should have blown a main 80 amp fuse.
Could be a fused link at the positive terminal, or in engine fuse box.
