Rear ABS Ring

Postby Mikew » Wed May 17, 2017 5:19 pm

Good Evening ,

First time posting a question on the forum.
I have a 54 plate 1.4 16v the rear o/s abs plate has rusted and fallen to bits , the plate is the one that fits over the rear stub axle and the ABS sensor plugs into it.

Does anybody know where i can get one from?

I have spoken to Renault in LLandudno and thay say it comes as part of the wheel bearing kit , i know the front wheel bearing comes with the abs sensor as it fits into the hub after the bearing.

But as far as i can see the rear Discs are the one's with the magnetic ring attached not the bearing but it was talking to the wall with the person in the spares dept at Renault.

Anybody any ideas.

Cheers,

Mike.

Hi,
there is a thread for 'rear abs mount'
lt's not good news. Renault apparently want to sell you the whole axle or stub.
You need to get round this somehow, either welding or gluing something to hold the sensor.
lt seems to be an achilles heel, a design fault not catered for.
Sorry can't be more help.
Good luck
Bob.
