Drivers windows control problem

Have a strange problem....
I will begin with today: i replaced the passenger side sidelight which had blown its now working absolutely fine when i switch lights on which is good lol it might be related to the following i don't know.

The weird problem is when i go to use the drivers windows controls, in particular the rear window controls. They work fine as long as the car lights are not switched on. as soon as i switch them on or the sidelights, the controls don't work and the little lights inside the controls don't illuminate either.
The front windows control switch works perfectly fine and also illuminates too, the child lock button is also working fine.

So would it be as simple as one of the led bulbs inside the switch itself has blown or does that make no difference to whether or not they operate?

(before i start butchering the switch lol)
