Cam sensor
Evening all, It's my first post so be gentle I have a Megana 2 it's a 1.6 petrol, auto and it keeps coming up with check emissions and check injection. I plugged my code reader in and it has come up with cam sensor which I have changed but it has made no difference. As for the car it runs and drives fine, just wondered if any one could point me in the right direction Thanks

Re: Cam sensor
Hi,
l presume it's still giving a code for the cam sensor.
lf you've changed the sensor then l can only suggest that you test the wiring and connectors to it.
You will find how to do that on you tube.
Good luck
Bob.

Re: Cam sensor
Hi thanks for the reply, I did read that the ecu might need resetting, but surely wiping the code would work. Or do I need to disconnect the battery for a bit ??
Thanks
Thanks

Re: Cam sensor
Hi,
when you erase the code, is it coming back, after running the engine.
lf it is, disconnecting the battery won't make any difference, it will come back if there is a fault.
Cheers
Bob.

Re: Cam sensor
Hi yeah I erase it and it comes back few hours later. It starts by saying check injection then bit later comes up with check emissions, but doesn't affect the way the car runs at all and that's what's confusing.

Re: Cam sensor
Hi,
the ecu must just be sensing something very slight and probably intermittent.
l can only suggest the testing of the wiring and connectors or ignore the warning till it's something noticable.
Good luck
