Check injection light on dashboard
My 03 plate megane has a check injection light on dash board it doesn’t start but if you disconnect the pipe to the pump and pump the air out the plastic fuel line it will start and run but if you leave it it won’t start till you do it again still has check injection light on when it’s running any ideas as if it’s cheap fix I will fix and use if not I will use as donor car for my 08 plate megane or scrap it

Re: Check injection light on dashboard
Hi,
it sounds like it's just air in the fuel system.
lt must be the return line you're disconnecting to draw the air out.
Apart from checking the fuel filter for blockage or air leaks, l've found that the quick connectors can fail over the years.
New pipes cost a fortune so l replaced my connectors with 10mm pipe and little jubilee clips off ebay.
When there's air in the system the fuel pressure's low and hence the no start.
There has to be good pressure or the ecu won't send the signal to the injectors.
Good luck
Bob.
