Hi my mk2 1.6 2006 model makes a funny noise only on first start up of the day and not all the time i have asked before i thought it was the starter but apparently not....my question is if i leave it and put up with the noise what will happen does anything snap or break...not much chance of it fixing itself i presume....thanks

Hi,
not likely to get better, guessing as it controls advance/retard the fuel consumption and general running will eventually be affected.
Plenty about it on youtube and having listened to the noise on there, I think it best to fix it if the car is worth it.
Good luck
Bob.
