Hi
Have Renault megane 1999 1.4 petrol, and from this year noticed loss of coolant. Approx 1ltr for every 600km.
It still works well. Mec did high water pressure test and identified very small leak in one of the coolant pipes which he replaced. But otherwise can't find anything else.
Water pump was replaced 2-3 years ago.
Could it be cylinder head gasket? But don't notice any bubbles in expansion tank.
Any idea please?
Thanks
Edward

Re: Coolant loss but no apparent leak
Check oil cap or if you don't have an easily accessible oil filler cap check dipstick hole for emulsion (white creamy liquid where the oil has mixed with water) this is one of the signs of a blown head gasket however, this can also occur if the car has been stood for a long time or run only over short distances so don't despair until a few more checks are done.
