Came across this AA article, it's from 2009 that dpfs are actually always on.

Hey im new to the group but in need of advice, I have a 62 plate megane and the air pollution message has appeared.I have been quoted £309 for a exhaust flap does this sound right?very tempted to just sell the car

Mine was done under warranty, normally I keep from 1 year old to 5 year old, wife decided she wanted an auto so p/ex the megane for a clio dci auto. She's happy and I get her old 2008 dci megane coupe, thats giving me grief at the moment but time will tell. Never bonded with the mkiii megane, it never warmed up in winter, fuel consumption was a joke compared with the 08, low profile wheels ate tyres and felt like you were driving with no suspension. ONly good thing about it was the tom tom navigation and blue tooth, far better than that fitted to clio.
