This may help some people, it's the cutting pattern for a full width plexiglass wind deflector. They suggest 6mm thick

They are hand made, improvised cutting with a hot knife and filed to size by hand and take 3 hours constant work fabricate... Two number plate fronts cost £10 . (i hate fileing !)

To be honest I wish people would make their own !

The good news is i have discovered they dont need anything to bond them in as they are a very tight wedged fit !

Make me an offer for my time and effort !

...a little tip when working with plexiglass (please accept my apologies if this is general knowledge and simply ignore this post then).

To get a smooth and transparent cutting edge polish it with a soft cloth with nail varnish remover (acetone).

Always test a new product...

After the really strong sun i noticed the numberplate perspex tend to curve in the heat when under the pressure i used to get a tight fit on these... :-(

I quite like the curve, but they need to be made a loose fit and fixed in by some other method to remain straight ( the ones in the headrest are fine tight fitted.)

yep, but being hand cut and filed it spells more time to make and extra cost for the exact same finished look...

Does this help with buffeting in the front as well, same as the one that covers the back seats?

It would stop some wind and buffeting but not as good as the factory one that covers the rear seats. It would be good though if you need to use the rear seats.

hi ya

what a cracking idea, does it cut down all of the rear draft..... enough so that at speed the passenger with longer hair does not get hair whipped :o
