The Mégane II Owners' Club

Hi guys new here, I've just got a 55 plate renault megane cabriolet, but the alarm has started to randomly go off, I can temporarily disable it by pushing the button 5 times, but I don't wanna do that every time I lock my car, I've read that putting foil over the volumetric sensors should work, but would this work on mine? My sensors are on the piller next to the windscreen, anyone out there that can help? Thanks in advance leanne x

Did you get it sorted cos ive got exactly the same problem

Press and hold the central lock button for 5-7 seconds after opening the door until it clunks.
When you shut the door all doors lock, no alarm.

Bonnet sensor is a usual culprit mine started this so I poped bonnet and pressed and released the pin so it sprang back with some force did the 3/4 times after this assault on the pin it has behaved since. If it has always done this bonnet might need pulling down a bit tighter you could try a bit of cardboard taped to bonnet where pin is shut it n lock it and see if it goes off.
