Front windows Slow.

Hi had a look to see if anyone else has this problem but cant find a post.

Both Passenger and Drivers front windows are pretty slow when raising not bad when dropping .
I assume this is not normal and a sign of wear with the motors . Has anyone got any suggestions { other than replacing motors } on improving the motion ? Thanks .

Dodgy motors, electrical fault or just needs lubrication.
Start with cheap stuff. Have a look at the motors and mechanisms. WD40 or spray grease. Check fuses & switches. Seems odd it's both windows..

:no DO NOT PUT SPRAY GREASE ON THEM.
The grease.
A) attracts dirt
B) causes resistance in the window guidess = even slower windows.
Use a silcone spray by all means pop off ur door cards to do it properly chances are they are just dry but can can get lazy motors but as said start cheap

I've done the spray grease thing on a meg 1 coupe window didn't improve at in in fact after a few weeks started to make so really odd noises like grit on glass in the end I had to change reg
All the grit dirt n dust had stuck to the runners and mechanism. Lesson learned ... grease is not always good.
Wd40 can also make some plastics swell sprayed some on my fuel flap locking rod it made the rod swell to coin a phrase so I had to replace it.
Mmmmm lesson 2 learned!
