The plugs behind the hand brake cover are for the switches one passenger and one driver front, I believe the wiring is already under the seats within the large connector plug you soon find it if you fish around under the seats there is a carpet flap over it and it sits low in a hole made in underlay. This is the plug you squeeze together when your airbag light comes on after moving one of your front seats.
Not sure on the complete fitment of heated seats I know you will need the heater seat pads, seat foams are OK they already have the holes in for the wires you will Ned from eBay a new hand break cover which includes the two seat switches (they sit lower than the window n roof ones)
If you do a search on this site I am sure someone has retro fitted heated seats, I didn't as u wasn't that bothers myself.
