Is it possible?

Postby wanda » Wed Apr 23, 2008 9:23 am

I almost forgot the key card in the car last night. Is it possible to lock the car when the key card is inside?

Maybe if you use the other keycard.

I asked my dealer the same question and he almost laughed. Luckily we were on good terms and i didn't take offence, but no, it's not possible to lock a keyless entry car with a keycard inside.

Oh yes you can!!!!

Just been out to mine and left one card inside the car, locked it with the door button - wouldn't unlock without the spare card being within range! Beware I don't care what the dealer said - it is possible. Don't try it unless you have your spare card with you!

You know. I was gonna post yesterday that I read something in the manual about deadlocking. can't remember exactly what it said but it was along the lines of "Don't leave the key in the car when doing this.

I don't understand...
If it is hands-free, then what's the point in removing the card from the pocket in the first place? :?

It took me this long to realise... Don't say you drive it naked :peur:

Robznet, what are we doing here? It's the cabrio thing!

Friz, the other card is obviously in the other pocket.

Wanda, I am speechless.

Misty, does it explain why your dealer "almost laughed"? You just pulled in and asked...

I should have red wine at lunch more frequently...

No no, not naked, just top less.... so half naked.

I was just thinking in case it ought to fall out of my pocket and I lock the key inside.
