Among all cr-p news this came up! They've made my day! The life is worth living!

I tried to explain my excitement to my wife by using a scene from The Councillor as a metaphorical expression of an unforgettable experince, but she refused to watch the spoiler and I don't know when she finds time for the whole film... I mean this one (a kind of automotive):

Very nice but it does look like the size of Alfas 4C and 50k would mean it would have to be really something for people to walk past Alfa, M1, M2 and AMG A class.

It's middle engined, so forget Ms and AMGs. Alfa 4C is a toy, not a contender as well. Both the exterior and interior seem quite good, apart from missing handbrake.

Fair enough. I prefer it with a rear spoiler.

The real question is when will renault make a road going version of the RS01? Hope not for millions of pounds.

The old Alpine was less subtle and more stylish in a functional sense. This one will have hard time competing with the sportier versions of Cayman, while both being outperformed in real life by a modest TTRS.
