Double din fitted, but keeps resetting

Hi all,
took the plunge today and bought a double din unit, fitment was far easier than i expected.
However, the unit keeps resetting everytime i start the car back up.
I have read about needing a 12v constant supply, how do i go about this? any ideas where i can wire the unit in to for this live feed

What unit have you fitted, some where in the instructions there should be a guide to wire colours, it may be as simple as swaping 2 wires over

Had a alpine Bluetooth unit, I was a little eager fitting it last night it seems.
Chap at Halfords said swop these wires over as It was completely dead when I tried to first fit it. So I did that and ended up sorting the problem but it kept resetting.
Had a look this morning and I had a little fettle around and swopped two wires over its now all working and remembering all functions, and turning off at the close of the door.
So now its fitted as I expected and its working, so issue solved
Ill get a picture once the surround arrives off ebay.

Little update, unit is going great guns.
Just thought for those who are hesitant about fitting a double din, its really simple and the ebay link for the fascia is spot on and fits really well.
