Slide the emergency key from the end of the keycard, go to the near side (passenger) door. Look at the little oval cover at the right hand side of the door handle and lever off carefully using the key in the small slot. This will reveal the hidden manual lock so you can gain access. Hope that helps....
I'll start this off by saying that I'm no mechanic! However, what strikes me most from your photos is the area rusted up around the edge of the disc. It's fully 25% of the friction surface which the pads are not touching. (The untouched areas at the outside of the discs on my Megane, Clio and Twingo...
Yep, 17 inch Nervasport design. Those were a £250 factory upgrade on the Dynamique and Privilege models, over the standard 16 inch Nervastella design. Whether your car had them from the factory or acquired them later, who knows, but at least you've got them. Nice.
I'd need to see a photo to say if they're either a) aftermarket alloys b) Renault alloys from a different car or c) Renault alloys fitted as a factory option when new. I don't recall many options being available for the Extreme but upgraded alloys may have been one. I left Renault 6 years ago and tr...
A 2004 Extreme (being the basic model) would just show either all open or all shut, not specific doors. Dynamique and Privilege trim levels would show specific doors. I suspect it's not as easy as reprogramming with a Renault Clip diagnostic machine. I imagine the vehicle symbol on the dash is a sin...
my fan belt is cracked Your car doesn't actually have a fan belt . The last car I owned with a fan belt was my beloved Ford Capri 2.0 Ghia (1979 - T Reg). So it is either the timing belt (also called a cambelt) or the accessories belt. The timing belt kit is probably £100 and best left to a good me...
In that case, if it's a phase I (before Feb 06) I think it would have had the Auto dimming mirror version as std. I think the phase II Dynamique had the std mirror. If I'm wrong I'm sure someone will correct me.
Apparently a fairly common problem. Rain gets between the external rubber window seal and the glass (this in itself is not a problem as it's not designed to be 100% waterproof) and, instead of running to the bottom of the door and draining through the drain holes back out again, finds its way throug...
http://ray-lee.co.uk/megane/dialogys/MR364MEGANE8.pdf There's a link to the manual, see page 119. I believe it's not totally straightforward although I haven't changed one myself. Do a search on the forum and see how other people have done it. :) PS What year and trim level is your car?
