Re: Headlight bulb mystery

OK Just spoke to the dealer, there are TWO types of bulb fitting, mine apparently has NO spring, bulbs need to be rotated 1/4 turn anti clockwise to release...I thought I was going mad.

Headlight bulb mystery

Can someone PLEASE help. I went to replace a bulb (drivers side), got my hand all the way to disconnecting the bulb wiring, but cannot for the life of me feel anything that feels like a spring clip, I know what these things feel like (have them on my BMW). Yet despite feeling no spring the bulb is s...

Headlight bulb retaining spring clip?

Had a bulb replaced by Renault (passenger size, 2006 facelift model). Noticed that it was aimed wrong and when I went in to have a look around I can feel there is NO RETAINING SPRING CLIP holding the bulb in place. Question is should there be one, or does the facelift do without a spring clip?

Headlight bulb procedure?

Can anyone tell me what the procedure is to change the headlight bulb on the PASSENGER side. I am able to remove the wheel arch access panel, and when I reach in there seems to be a 4inch diameter cap that can be unscrewed, what happens next?! Is this worth a punt, I am concerned that if I am able t...

I would stay away, a mate has one, albeit mostly town driving and has left him with no power at times as the FAP does its thing. He curses it.

That noise sounds very similar to one I just had. The dealer replaced both regulators without quibble and the noise is gone. This suggests Renault are well aware of the problem. Sorry to hear that your dealer is acting the fool.

Renault Sandyford, Dublin, Ireland

Very good service, warranty issues rectified without question and first service carried out with seemingly great attention to detail. Average Renault servicing costs (highish) but very good customer service.

Bought my Sport Tourer in Motorpoint Newport, drove it straight to Dublin. Its been into Renault here twice, water in doorpocket and new window regulator, both warranty items fixed without question, no-one has ever asked where the car is from. The way it should be, who cares where it is from, if its...
