It's not just renault dealers

Well after the Megane going and the Mondeo arriving i've quickly realised that Renault dealers do not have exclusive rights on ripping off customers and offering bad service. As the Mondeo is under warranty for another 6 months i wanted it serviced at a dealers(wouldn't normally but it's only a mino...

Re: What gets your goat...

Drivers who stop/slow down to let cars out of side roads when there is only them and you following behind. For gods sake check your rear view mirror and if there is a huge queue of traffic then fine slow down and let them out, if there is just one car behind you DON'T bother they will be out quicker...

Some people need to get a grip and take life less seriously. She's caused more hassle for herself by going to a lawyer.

Re: Tyre-shopper BEWARE!

I've used tyre shopper for mine and wifes car for last few years without a problem. All fitted at National in Chester. Went for the cheapest budget tyres and had if i remember rightly over 40k out of a pair of front ones, which with my driving is excellent. Due a new set on mine in next month and wi...

Hell of a lot around the roads of North Wales too.
My theory is farmers blame them for spreading TB to cattle so they are poisoning them and chucking them on roads so it looks like they've been run over :-)

As for green cross code don't get me started :banghead

Re: Pushing my annual service limit

I wouldn't worry about it. Traded mine in a couple of months back with service history until 70k (120k on clock). Out of curiosity i told some dealers it had full service history then went back and told them I'd forgotten and it was only partial. Made no difference to trade in price at all. Suppose...

Re: recording phone calls

as above. you'd be amazed how many people put the phone down when you tell them. lol Well its something i'm going to be carrying on with. Discussed it at work and without exception everyone could recall an instance where they'd been told something on the phone only for it to turn out differently la...

recording phone calls

Does anyone know the legality of recording phone calls(that you are having, not tapping a phone!). I ask this as i have recently had a couple of instances as i'm sure many people have where i'm told something on the phone by a company only for it to be denied later on. 1st one was with my mobile pro...

change computer to display the service message (with spanner icon)
then press and hold the reset button for at least 10 seconds. The reset button is the small plastic pin on the rev counter surround.

Re: Servicing in Wirral, Liverpool or Manchester

Manor Garage, Lightfoot Street, Chester 01244 346886. Just had my 1.9dci Megane CC 4 year service and MOT done there. Excellent, courteous service, ran me back to work, rang me to explain what had been done including advice about advisories on MOT and a couple of other items not on the service sche...
