Re: Head Lamp Conversion - Phase 1 to Phase 2
As already suggested - heat is the key to taking them apart. I took my Range Rover ones apart by putting them in the oven (only just fitted) on the lowest temp for about 15 mins, rotating every 3 mins whilst making sure they didnt get too hot. Then just ran a knife around the edge and the tacky seal...

Re: Towing with the 1.5D
Sorry, I meant to update yoy all on my antics... I towed my small(ish) caravan no problems with the car, the hills were a struggle and MPG was in the 30's. 50 was all she could manage on any incline without really pushing. 60 on the flat was easy though. https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-Tu2VMC1KxO...

Just seems strange as to why it wont work with your steering wheel controls considering its made for a megane is all....
I think mine came out of a 2005+ car (these had canbus controls?)

Re: Sideways Adventure
The standard countermeasure on a FWD car is more throttle plus opposite lock! I tried that - trouble is I think the 1.5 has so little power it couldnt really drag its ass round! I just need to learn I guess - coming from a Range Rover, perm 4wd with DSC amongst other things. That would understeer w...

Re: Sideways Adventure
I wouldnt have minded so much but its not like the little 1.5 has much power to pull the rear end back in check. Gear changes mid slide are best avoided I generally find!
Perhaps time to get some new boots, I know one of the rears is a bit suspect.

Sideways Adventure
I was under the impression that small cars had a desire to understeer? I took a wet greasy roundabout at an "unsuitable speed" at the weekend and ended up sliding the back end out. So much so that I was facing the roundabout whist going round it sideways and missed my turn off by a long sh...

Ouch - £300+ for Window Regulator
Whilst driving down the M5 on Sunday my drivers door glass fell into the door. Normally I would investigate before taking the car to the garage but it was raining non stop and I just needed it fixing. So I put a bin liner over the window for the night and took it to a garage at 8AM on Monday morning...

If you made that fair play thought it was a link very simalar on CYC and DW also very good sites to start if you wish to have a gleamming megane. I often frequent DW too - I picked mot of my theory up from those guys. There is an awful lot of knowledge there! I did do the diagram myself, only in pa...

Cornwall / Devon Meet
I'd be up for meeting fellow Meg owners in the North Cornwall/Devon area.
I'm based in Bude, North Cornwall.
A beer or two, compare notes, admire our megs etc etc...
Anyone else?
