Was your connects2 cable listed and 'stalk and display'? My Sony head unit is the mex 1gp but I did see on the connects2 site it just said make sure it had a cd changer port on the back. I take it back. Jvc HU's don't support the dash displays. Looks like I was lucky that I had a Sony in my old car. Found another post on this forum and it won't work- just displays JVC on display.

There will be one. You need to find the connects2 that is for Megane II 06>. Will have a look where I got mine and post a link if I find it.

I've just installed a Sony HU in my 54 Megane- I used "connects2" stalk and display adaptor. Works perfect. Does the two jobs in one. But it will depend on which standard HU you have (Tuner list or Update list) as to which adaptor you need. Great value for money on that stereo by the way!

Just reporting back that I have done it! I installed my Sony head unit and have the display FULLY functional and steering wheel controls all working also. I bought the "connects2" lead and as far as I understand the only thing I needed to be sure of was that my HU had a socket on the back ...

So nobody in this forum knew this was possible? Or just nobody knows the makes/models which are compatible? ANY help would be appreciated....!

I've seen a pioneer head unit that displays info. But I don't know the model. I've also seen a cable that will do the display for a Sony. I just don't know how to tell which head units are compatible with the display.

I thought exactly the same as you until I saw someone had done it. Some display all info like the factory fitted 'tuner list' and some slightly less- like just displaying cd instead of track time- others just display the word Renault. I'm desperate to know which can use the dash display as the only ...

Hey, how do I know which aftermarket head units support dash display? I thought 1st off I'd keep the factory unit but I've seen people have an aftermarket one that still displays info on dash display? Would be handy to know what I'm looking for! Cheers!
