DRL question

Hi. I have changed the DRL bulbs in my mk3 coupe to led bulbs. I have noticed that when I flash my headlights the DRL will go out while headlights are on. I understand that when headlights come on at night DRL will go out. Is it normal for them to go out when flashing my headlights? I should have ch...

Aircon, who needs it lol

Yep but when it's raining and humid the air con is nice. Also on a long run (driving 200+ miles Saturday) it's too much to have roof down (especially for my young son in the back!). I don't often use it though :D

Air con advice

Hiya, Had the aircon recharged on my mk1 Megane a couple of weeks ago. After a few days I noticed that it wasn't working so took it back to Concord Monday and they re done it. Said that it was blocked and regassed it. It was cold on Monday when I collected it but wasn't ice cold like my last megane....

Re: Brake pedle problem

Hi snowgirl, From what you have described the first thing I would do is check the ABS rings on the driveshaft outer joints. It sounds like one of them may have a cracked and is causing the ABS to operate at low speeds. Rotate each wheel and look closely. Corrosion builds up behind them until they f...

Re: Brake pedle problem

Hi snowgirl, The questions were about the ABS (see my first post in this thread). You've answered them indirectly in the last post; it seems that you are not sure on this issue. Therefore, try disabling the ABS for the sake of experiment. Just pull the fuse. Thanks. Tried this today. The brakes wor...

Did it fail on the tyre or the actual Alloy wheel?

Re: Brake pedle problem

Hiya. Its like a vibration on the "pedal" :D When you gently brake just before the car stops. The brakes where shocking  Pads down to the metal and discs badly scored. Hubby has replaced discs pads all round. Bled them. New brake fluid ect. Did have problem with 1 caliper binding wh...

Brake pedle problem

I recently brought a 2002 mk1 2.0 16v megane cabroilet. The brakes weren't great and my husband has replaced front and rear discs and pads. Also replaced one of the brake pipes after it split and brakes failed on me  However when braking as you almost stop you get a strange feel on the brake ...

Re: CC all cleaned ready to sell!

mk1 is Quick and responsive and fun to drive :) The mk2 is lovely to drive but find it a little underpowered plus it's soo big!

Just never loved it the same as my old mk1. Plus don't have to worry about greasing the roof seals in an old mk1 :)
