Brake lights Relay

Hello everyone, I seem to be stuck on this one and hope someone here can help. Electronic fault on dash. After checking on Clip Diagnostic, “Brake lights switch” - but the switch works fine and I even swapped it for another identical one. The manual shows a direct connection between the switch and t...

Re: Megane II rear axle defects

Yes, I was just about to do that or even better design and fit an eccentric mount. I know the N/S rear is not much out ( about 10' . . .or better still not enough IN) but is having an effect that requires readjusting the front (re-centring) in order to keep the steering wheel in the right position. ...

Megane II rear axle defects

Renault are notorious for rear axle asymmetric designs since the times of the R4 with the rear torsion bars necessitating the N/S rear to be positioned forward with respect of the O/S I also know that we cannot expect the best precision from a pressed and welded steel rear axle but I would have thou...

Re: Miles or Kilometres ?

Oops ... ______UPDATE ! :hm MY MISTAKE It is possible that CLIP did not read the milage from the ECU of the older 2003 Megane but instead asked me to feed it in manually (I tried again today in order to double check and that's what was happening) That would explain why it matched the one on the cloc...

Re: Miles or Kilometres ?

That is what I thought untill I checked my other 2003 Megane 1.5dci. 1) Megane Dci 80 clock registered milage = 123.025 2) Clip Diagnostic sheet registered Milage = 123.025 So what is going on here ? If Renault was indeed storing Km in the ECU like all Citroen do, then why are my two cars reading in...

Miles or Kilometres ?

1) Megane Dci 106 hp 2007 clock registered milage = 102,517 2) Clip Diagnostic sheet registered Milage = 164,951 Someone said that French cars have their ECU records stored in Kilometres (Citroen) It would almost seem correct (102.517 Km = 164.985 Miles) BUT ! ! I DON’T believe that ! I think someon...

K9K 106 Bhp no injectors coding ?

Ok folks, .... take a look at this and tell me what your thoughts are.. :o

https://youtu.be/FW1yl7LyQfM

It seems like the 106 BHP model of the K9K engine on Siemens injection does not require injector coding since they are not displayed on the usual page of the Clip software ..

Megane dci 106 Boost Values ? ?

Hi guys, A quick one :-) Does anybody know what is the maximum boost pressure that I should read from my standard 106 Privilege ? I cannot find this info on the net and I am reading what I think is an abnormal overboost. Under load around 1.65 Bar (+ barometric of course) = 2.69 Bar inlet pressure. ...

Re: Megane 1.5Dci Injection Fault

Does not matter what car, if the rail fuel pressure isn’t correct it can be one of the following:

1) Pressure regulator/return flow faulty
2) High pressure stage fuel pump lazy
3) Leaking injector/s letting fuel escape into the return line

;)
