Re: How to retrofit cruise control, step by step..
Sorry to ressurect an old thread... My 05 Megane Dynamique (in other words, most basic trim of bottom base model) has NO white plug (only red, which seems to put my Megane into limp mode after flicking the CC switch on, working on this issue) and no extra 2 wires in the steering column. I have found...

Re: starting problems
late reply... my dad's mazda3 is experiencing exactly same thing- low fuel pressure warning. We did an injector leak test at a local diesel centre which found out 2 of 4 injectors were faulty, also the fuel pump was not making enough pressure, so replacing this now. These are the 2 most common probl...

Re: How to connect vacuum sensor, solenoid valve and actuator hoses
Hi, in my 1.5 dci the actuator rod connects to the turbo flap using 2 10mm nuts, then it has a thinnish tube with a small metal ring on the end connecting to a bowl shaped thingy that is on an air pipe that goes from airbox to the turbo intake. And the vacuum sensor connector is on the same harness ...

Re: seats
I have put a set of full leathers from a 5 door into a 3 door :) since I mainly drive by myself I don't bother about having to use two levers to let someone in the back The only issues are: -5 door has its pretensioners in the seat, 3 door has them under the B-pillar -5 door has its seatbelt integra...

Drastic mileage improvement after turbo change?
Hi everyone! My 1.5 dci Meg was eating a lot of oil and smoking badly so I decided to change the turbo (~36 hours of labour in our backyard garage fixed the smoky oily part thankfully!) Before the change I used to get 45mpg city and 55 at best cruising at 60mph. Now that the turbo has been swapped I...

Re: Very low pointing headlights
Sorry for a rather late reply... Yes, they are in properly as far as I have checked. Today as I went to try one thing I found the switch to not work anymore. The headlights are stuck at the highest setting now (which is still quite low). Tomorrow I will check the connectors and will try again. I was...

Very low pointing headlights
So I have recently fitted my pre-facelift mk2 with OEM peojector headlights and I can't help but notice how low they point. The cutoff point is about 15-20 feet away and it really bugs me off when driving at night. The adjuster switch to the right of the steering wheel is set to 0 (if set to 2 or 3 ...

Re: 1.9 dci massive hesitation at 3000rpm
Been away for a week while so couldn't come back to the forum but just wondering if you got the part yet and if you did, has it fixed the problem? hehe fair point there, my friends think I am crazy for getting myself a Megane...

Re: 1.9 dci massive hesitation at 3000rpm
Ok, maybe I exaggerated a bit, this one is £26: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/151259578580 My dad purchased a non-genuine one for £35ish at a local parts store 2 years ago and it's still going strong as. If any of your friends have a healthy 1.9 dci Megane, Clio, Laguna, Espace, Master or Kangoo, you c...

Re: 1.9 dci massive hesitation at 3000rpm
Could be an MAF problem, our family has a Peugeot 807 that had a badly clogged MAF and was actually inverted- it would pull like a stoned slug below 3k but anything above 3k was simply delightful. Unplugging the sensor would simply make it not pull at all. Of course such rpm wasn't healthy for a die...

Changing/Altering the annoying warning 'beep' sound?
Hello guys, it's my first post, and so might happen to be a very stupid one too :grin I recently got myself a 2005 1.5DCi Megane, it's truly a superb lil' coupe but one thing that sometimes drives me crazy is the warning sounds. I was driving one day and suddenly a loud, ear piercing BEEEEEEP that i...
