Replacing driveshaft on a 2014 Megane III on the passenger side. The replacement driveshaft has no spring clip or place for a spring clip on the inner cv joint side. The one we removed had a spring clip. Has anyone come across this before? Do you need the spring clip?

Where is the best place to source drive shafts other than main dealer? They are quoting me ridiculous prices.

I have been driving a Megane 3 sports Tourer since 2011. I have never had any problems with it.
