Hello - Can anybody help with any OBD2 scanner that works with a Scenic 2 - 1.6L ?

Any idea which of the dozens of readers/scanners will be OK for a Megane Scenic '06 ? They all seem to fit everything from 1996 but some apparently do not.

Want to use one of these - but says to turn ignition "on" but how is this possible when using key card which only has "press brake or clutch to start" or the engine is started ? Am I missing something here and any advice help which reader/scanner please ? - Thank you. -
