I have a Mk3 1.6 DCi 2014. It's behaving better than my old 2006 Mk2 was. Had the odd few problems when it disabled cruise control and "Check injection" message came up but I knew that the glow plugs were due for a change as starting was getting worse in the mornings (original at 75k Miles...
