Hi I thought it would be ok my car's got 85000 and it runs without problems I've always use this ELF ULTIMATE 5W-40 the reason I was thinking of trying the 5W-30 because I got the oil from an auction three 5LT and only paid £25 and they were sealed

Genuine oil filter
Can anyone please tell me do I need to get genuine Renault parts I need to change the oil and oil filter I've got the recommended oil but not sure about the oil filter eBay are selling oil filters for this car for about £5 but does not say that they are genuine Renault parts just that they will fit ?

Took the car to Kwik Fit to check the tracking .I mentioned air conditioning not working to one of the lads he pinpointed it straight away didn't even charge me went back got the part replaced it now working as it should do the part needed was the the air conditioning pressure switch.

Good advice like you say for the year of my car which is 2004 they all seem to have this clutch device now as for the colour of the Wire strangely enough it does seem to match the colour going to the clutch and the pressure switch sensor hopefully it is something to do with either one

Ok I confirmed that AC clutch does not engage after the AC is pressed and the temperature turned right down and also fans turned up. Before I take the car to a garage does anyone know if the air pressure switch can be overridden to see if it's got a faulty if yes how please.?

I think if I can first pinpoint the problem then I can go from there and possibly maybe get a cheap or less costly way having it repaired but thanks again bob for your information I very much appreciated

You're right there did check the gaiter it seem a bit hard I thought I'd buy a new one and I notice the difference straight away I managed to get the job done for under £30 took took the car back for the MOT retest past no problems many thanks Bob very much appreciate Regards Alan

Thanks mate I did give Halfords a call just to confirm what you said and they say yes the same they did say the Gator just needs securing with another clip quite pleased with it really 80000 on the clock and the car still holds its own on the road I'll get the job done thanks again

Hi there maurice the correct tool was used my thinking was opening the bleeder caps the pistons would be easier to wind back. and I did bleed all brakes again so I am sure there's no air in the system it's just everytime the brakes are pumped there's like an hissing noise inside the car by the autom...
