Meggys Going

Well yes it's finally happened i've traded her in :-( After months of deliberation i started looking and finally bought a new car yesterday. Not the usual story of "glad to get rid etc etc". Loved the car, had her for 6 years(a long long time for me). Would recommend to anyone. Very few pr...

Next you'll have the good lady wife asking why you're going so fast with child in the car! ;)

Re: WARRANTY

I've been looking at new cars over the last few weeks and salesmen are obviously(commision!!) hard selling the warranties. Reason given by all salesmen is "imagine if the turbo went that'd be about £1000" Suppose it's down to assessing the risk by the car owner. Had my Megane for over 5yea...

Re: insurance renewal

Well known con this, i never stay with the same insurance company. Thing is insurance companies do it because far too many people can't be bothered getting quotes and stick with them. Discussed it at work today and did a quick poll, out of 16 people 9 of them have been with same insurance company si...

Re: sevice lights

Had mine on yesterday and also message that door was open and auto wipers were faulty.
Drove the car on several journeys and the service light and all messages went out after i started it up on about the 3rd journey.
Also once had service light on and glow plugs needed changing, car ran fine then too.

Re: Is a hybrid/electric Renault a good idea

They struggle with keyless locking so probably better if they got that right 1st!!
Must say though i keep thinking of hybrids/gas possibility on next car.
With the price of fuel going the way it is and me driving approx 26k a year the cheaper a car to run the more i make on expenses.

Re: Sled + Audi Quattro

When i was a kid "growing up" in the North East the snow was regular every year. One of the highlights was waiting at junctions on iced up side streets, when a car stopped we'd run out grab the back bumper and get towed along the street. Immense fun had by all. I also remember my brother g...
