Cam belt query

Hi just purchased a 2013 reg Megane estate, modeltt energy dci , fitted with 1598; cc engine . Whilst buying the car , it had done 89 k miles, I asked the dealer to fit a cam belt, he agreed but when I came to pick up,the car he informed me that this engine has a chain fitted so no need for a cam belt , my worry is that nearly every time I see a megane advertised they have ahead a cam belt change , so I am now a little concerned in case I have been misled , any ideas please .?
