The Mégane II Owners' Club

Hello all

Just recently bought a 1.5dci megane dynamique 11 months old. Only 126 miles when I bought it. 2300 in three weeks . Used to have renaults for many years 19's, clio's and laguna. Wouldn't mind some comments on reliability issues with more recent Meganes. The Parkers site is very off putting. Car drives beautifully and averages mid 50's per gallon. So far very pleased and given my mileage the car will be tested thoroughly.

My 1.9dci is a lovely drive too, though only getting 37 MPG on the urban cycle... still better than 27 from my previous 1.6 VVTi. My girl has always been serviced at the correct intervals by Renault dealers and no complaints here.

My Megane is a 56 plate which I have had from new, 17k on it now and it's been reliable. The only fault needing an urgent trip to the dealer was a failed passenger electic window (failed in open position!) and there have been a couple of minor recalls.

Overall very pleased, I think the car is a very good blend of decent performace, comfort, safety, and low running costs.
