Radio not working

Hi Guys,

The on/off button is lit up - as is the display built into the dashboard (just the background, not the letters or numbers).

I have checked the fuse in the glove box for the radio and also for the cigarette lighter and both are fine.

As is the miniature glass fuse behind the head unit when you remove it.

Any other ideas or things to check ?

Does the head unit have an internal fuse on the PCB, for example or another fuse under the bonnet for the radio ?

Cheers
Scott

Might just need a reset. There is a well-known problem with certain OEM radio units not functioning below certain temperatures. I had to reset mine yesterday at -6. It works perfectly for the time being. I have a Cabasse MP3 auditorium update list model. You might need to take it out and disconnect the bigger connector, and therafter you'll need the radio code.

Unbelievably, this turned out to be the case.

Disconnected it, left it for an hour and reconnected.

After putting in the code, away we went.

Cheers.

Might work with the fuse too. Although I didn't manage to find which one is for radio. :? And I became an expert for taking radios out. :)

How do you remove the radio, is there a special key for that ? Need to remove mine after battery went flat, it's asking for a code now so presume serial number is needed :(

Plug 4 nails into 4 holes on the front of the radio and pull it out. Piece of cake.
