i think the only problem will be the diameter of the strut. more powerful cars have larger diameter struts for the extra stress they take.
a 2.0 dci might have the same diameter as diesels tend to have stronger parts.
if you have to change your hubs your talking proper money as someone has said before, your then into disc's calipers, lower arms, 5 stud wheels.
i think your best to just get a after market set of springs.
just a personal question, have you driven a lowered megane. a very rattley experience. i put my standard springs back on and sold my lowered ones. the standard springs are very good at there job,
good luck which ever you decide

This is exactly what I have done, my car became 5 stud wheels instead of 4
I have changed all the parts.
I will supply photos later on .....

Any news on this?!?

I want to change only the front springs of my 1,6 16V station wagon to those of the RS. My intention is to lower it not or only slightly, but make it harder. As the outer dimensions of the springs are the same it should fit. But what I wonder al little is, if it won´t be much lower anyhow, because the the RS springs have a unstressed length of only 280mm and the original springs should have 385mm (I have this value out of a catalogue). O.K. the wire diameter of the RS springs is bigger (13mm) than those of the 1,6 16V (12,3mm). Can someone share experience?
best regards
Oliver
