Megane RS suspension on a regular megane 2

Postby mateichk » Sun Mar 27, 2011 1:43 pm

Hi there

I found on the internet a great deal for the whole suspention parts of a megane 2 RS year 2005. Does the whole suspention fit on a stock megane 2 year 2006 without any modifications and how low will my megane go with the sport springs?

Picture of the suspention:

tnx for the anwsers

It's hard to judge what the outcome of this would be... I think the best way to company would be to see the weight of your car and compare to the weight of the rs, if the rs is lighter than yours fitting these yours should be lower than the rs...

Hope that helps..

the megane RS has 1450 kg, stock megane with the 1.5 dci has 1280 kg so i think that a little lower can go... but still i haven`t got the anwser if the suspention will fit without any modifications :D

Becouse i want to go my meg a little lower but not to much... If I buy sport springs i have to pay about 150€ only for the spring and 30€ for the homologation in our country... But for this RS suspention the price is about 35€ and I don`t need the homologation becouse it`s an original renault part.

Here is the anwser why :D

On all renault parts are numbers like a VIN number on the car... If any parts on the car aren`t stock you need to have a tüv certificate so you can go on the homolagion for the parts that have been installed aditionaly on the car. The price for that is 30€ per modification for making your car road leagal. Slovenia is a sh1tty country for moding cars...

From the photo they look like they will fit.. Hard to tell unless you have both parts next to one another... Should be fine tho, going by the photo..

At least if it doesn't fit you should be able to sell it on for profit?!

In theory it won't tho, should be higher than the rs as the dci is lighter...
